  The IDOLLS collection is an walkable installation

by the Berlin-based designer Klaus R. Zimmermann. The project deals with the topic IDOLS & ANTI-IDOLS. What are idols & anti-idols in these days? How do people become an idol or anti-idol? And who can become one and why? In this work a box of an action figure is one aspect of the answer. Because today, if people are available as action figures they have prominent status and usually there are a lot of people, who would label them as an idol. The second aspect is that the status of an idol or anti-idol is in the eye of the beholder. By entering the box, this installation enables everyone to become an idol or anti-idol.
